The Cakery at On-A-Stick Bakery is growing again! We are looking to add additional talented individuals to compliment our awesome team. Our bakery produces custom cakes, all occasion cakes,
cupcakes, hand decorated sugar cookies, cake pops, cake truffles and fresh fruit arrangements. All of our custom orders are baked and prepared fresh from scratch. Our storefront offers a daily
variety of fresh baked cupcakes, cookies, cake truffles as well as flavored hot and iced coffees and teas. We offer decorating classes and birthday parties in our kitchen. Producing a consistent high
quality, fresh baked product that both tastes and looks good is what keeps our customers satisfied and our business growing. Our team members are passionate about their talents and enjoy learning new
techniques together. We take great pride in the team effort that goes into our customer's satisfaction.
The new member of our team is a professional, someone who is fun, energetic, not afraid of hard work, long hours, able to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary, have a "can do" attitude. You are self motivated to be your best, are able to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment, are open to constructive criticism and continually strive to be better.
The positions we are currently hiring for are:
Full Time Cake Baker -- Available to work Tuesday thru Saturday *Experience required.
Responsibilities Include: An early start, daily baking to stock our front case, baking cakes and cookies for custom orders as well as preparation of cake fillings and coverings make up most of the daily responsibilities. The baker takes on all customer cupcake orders, someone for this position is someone who is artistic and creative, organized, independent and an outside the box thinker.
Part Time Cake Assistant -- Available to work Thursday thru Saturday *Experience required
Responsibilities Include: Assisting the head decorator, consistently filling, covering and stacking cakes and tiered cakes for the case and for custom orders. Precision on height of cakes and consistently producing a high quality product. As needed you will be asked to use fondant, and help with cake decorating, cleaning and dishes. Occasionally assisting the baker with measuring cake batters, monitoring the oven / baking time and measuring dry ingredients for recipes.
